Use contacts in Voice

From Google Voice, you can call or send text messages to the contacts on your device. You can also add new contacts.

You can call or send text messages to your contacts from the Google Voice homepage.

Call someone

  1. On your computer, go to voice.google.com.
  2. If the person appears in your contacts list on the right, click their name.

    Or, to search for the person in your contacts:

    1. In the search bar at the top, or in the Enter name or number field on the right, enter the person's name or phone number.

    2. In the list of contacts that appears, click the person's name.

Send a text message

  1. On your computer, go to voice.google.com.
  2. On the left, click Messages Messages tab.
  3. If the person appears in your message history on the left, click their name.

    Or, to search for the person in your contacts:

    1. In the search bar at the top, enter the person's name or phone number.

    2. In the list of contacts that appears, click the person's name.

Manage contacts

Google Voice syncs your contacts from Google Contacts. If you have a work or school account, Voice also syncs the contacts from your organization's Directory service.
